"Who's afraid of the big, bad Wolfgang? Not Mark Morris: He's making Mozart dance.
Even Mark Morris, a choreographer with the confidence of a bulldog, fully realizes that his new Mozart Dances is a colossal undertaking. The evening-length production, which marks a return to Mostly Mozart, is set to the composer's Piano Concertos Nos. 11 and 27 and the Sonata in D major for Two Pianos; it features performances by Emanuel Ax and Yoko Nozaki. Morris, who turns 50 on August 29, recently reflected on his love of Mozart and his company's 25th anniversary.
