Macy Sullivan
Macy Sullivan (Camas, WA) is a New York City-based dancer, collaborator, and teaching artist. She dances for Dance Heginbotham, The Chase Brock Experience, and Caleb Teicher & Company. Sullivan performed as Peter in Isaac Mizrahi and John Heginbotham’s Peter & the Wolf, Marie in Chase Brock’s The Nutcracker, and a tap dancer in Tyne Rafaeli’s The Poor of New York. Her own work has been performed at Juilliard’s Center for Innovation in the Arts, Judson Memorial Church, The 92nd Street Y, The Tank, and HATCH. Currently, she is a collaborator on Sarah Outhwaite’s The Rendezvous, a multimedia space for memories of death. Sullivan has taught tap on faculty with FRESH International Dance Intensive and GROOVE National Dance Convention. As a teaching artist, she has worked with the NYC Department of Education, Lincoln Center Education, Cayman Arts Festival, Juilliard Global Ventures, Together in Dance, and Dance for PD®. She has worked as a rehearsal director for Dance Heginbotham, and she has both assisted and staged work for Chase Brock. In 2003, she was awarded the First Place title at the World Tap Dance Championships in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Sullivan holds a BFA in Dance from The Juilliard School (Martha Hill Prize, John Erskine Prize, Choreographic Honors) and formerly trained with Oregon Ballet Theatre and Karen Cannon.
