Emily Faulkner
Emily Faulkner has been a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique (AT) for over 25 years and works with people of all ages and abilities, from high level athletes and dancers to Parkinson’s patients, and anyone in between who wants to improve their functioning. She is employed in the pain management department of the Veterans Administration where she teaches AT to veterans with chronic pain. Additionally, she is on the faculty of Movement Research, a world renown experimental dance institution, where she teaches Alexander Technique and improvisation. Currently in graduate school for Motor Control and Learning at Columbia University, Emily combines her experience as a dancer and general lover of movement with a scientific understanding of the neuromotor processes that underlie how we move and learn to move.
