Teacher Workshops

Mark Morris Dance Group’s Education and Community Engagement Department values continued learning and growth within the dance field. To support this value, we host an annual Professional Development Series for dance educators. This carefully curated series addresses various topics through the lens of our core values: Community, Access, Excellence, and Creativity. Additionally, we emphasize information that addresses the education programs’ commitment to a student-centered, culturally responsive pedagogical approach and the importance of teaching music concepts in collaboration with dance techniques. All workshops will include opportunities to join in-person or online for an affordable $10.00 price per engagement.

As of August 16, 2021, in accordance with the “Key To NYC Pass,” proof of vaccination will be required for all who are eligible (currently ages 12+) to enter the Dance Center. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. Please refer to our Visit the Dance Center page for our latest COVID-19 safety policies.
