Hip-Hop
Established in the 1970s in New York City, hip-hop dance – as an element of hip-hop culture – has become a popular and innovative movement style across the world. Our classes begin with a community-building warm-up, followed by skill building in large and small groups. Students learn and build on choreography, and class culminates in a cypher style improvisation. In all levels, students explore their personal voice through freestyle (improvisation) and a wide range of codified styles, including breaking, popping, and locking.
Registration for Children and Teen Programs are now open to the general public. Join our email list to receive email alerts about registration.
