Community Catch-Ups

The School at the Mark Morris Dance Center invites families our Community Catch-Up series!

Designed to provide more information about the community of The School at the Mark Morris Dance Center, as well as the core values that drive our programs, this ongoing series is also a chance for us to hear directly from you.

You will meet members of our Administrative Team, receive updates regarding Youth and Family programming at the Dance Center, and interact with other families who are a part of The School. The Community Catch-Up Series takes place in a hybrid environment, and families are welcome to join us on-site at the Mark Morris Dance Center or from their homes via Zoom.

To participate on-site, proof of complete vaccination (all required doses) will be required for all visitors age 12+; proof of at least one dose of any vaccine will be required for all visitors age 5+. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. Please refer to our Visit the Dance Center page for our latest COVID-19 safety policies.

We will continue to monitor and assess applicable health and safety directives and guidance regarding COVID-19 as that information evolves. COVID-19 safety policies are subject to change and interpretive modification at any time.

Community Catch-Up: Teen Programs April 15, 2022 – 5-6 pm

With a focus on teen opportunities in The School, our Education Team will spend time discussing summer programming, performance opportunities, pathways for career development and community service opportunities for Teen Dancers in The School. Learn more about ways your Teen can deepen their engagement within the Dance Center community!
Community Catch-Up: Early Childhood April 20, 2022 – 5-6 pm

Early childhood is a time for dancers to be introduced to dance and music concepts primarily through the medium of play-based activities. Learn more about the way our classes are structured, why this is our approach, and how this affects your little dancer’s education in the studio.

This event will include a fun kids space for dancers age 3-6 where students can watch part of Mark’s work Pepperland and work on arts and crafts with supervision from some of our Teen Dancers. We hope that this will allow you to build community with other families in The School, while your children will have a safe space to make friends!
