The Dance Group returns to Lenox, Massachusetts with a very special program:
- Mark Morris opens the program in his Tanglewood conducting debut with the Tanglewood Music Center Fellows in J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 1 in F major, BWV 1046.
- Cargo, Morris’ work set to Darius Milhaud’s La Création du Monde, returns to the site of its 2005 world premiere.
- The world premiere of The , a Boston Symphony Orchestra/Tanglewood Music Center commission in celebration of Tanglewood’s 75th Anniversary, set to J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 1 arranged for piano four-hands by Max Reger.
“It’s not a program that we’re going to do anyplace else,” Morris said. “It’s very much specific to these programs at Tanglewood. It’s about Tanglewood.”
