Amanda Gluibizzi
Amanda Gluibizzi is an art historian originally from Cleveland, Ohio. Specializing in modern and contemporary art in the Americas and Europe, she is the author of Art and Design in 1960s New York (Anthem Press, 2021) and an ArtSeen editor and critic at The Brooklyn Rail, for which she has also interviewed practitioners such as Yvonne Rainer, Suzanne Bocanegra, Ann Hamilton, Michael Joo, and Tavares Strachan. With her husband Christian Kleinbub Amanda is the co-founder and -director of The New Foundation for Art History (NFAH), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the research and advancement of scholars in underrepresented and underfunded areas. The New Foundation offers non-residential, year-long fellowships to mid-career scholars, publication subvention grants, and the innovative Fellowships for Contingent Faculty, intended to support the work of scholars in untenured positions. Amanda and Christian live in New York City with their daughter.
