Michelle Amador joined MMDG in 2012 after twelve years of experience in substantially increasing contributed income for innovative arts organizations (Issue Project Room, ETHEL, San Jose Jazz, SFJAZZ). Under her leadership, MMDG’s contributed income increased from $1.4 million in Fiscal Year 2012 to now $4 million annually. Michelle also led the organization’s largest comprehensive campaign, working with board members to raise $23 million in support of capital projects, capacity-building and program expansions, and legacy. Michelle is a published singer, songwriter and recording artist. She is a Board Member for the Nevada County Arts Council, member of the Nevada County Equity & Inclusion Leadership Alliance organized by Color Me Human, member of Women of Color in the Arts (WOCA), and an organizing group member of the Cultural Solidarity Fund. She is married to drummer and visual artist Tim Bulkley and has a son named Harrison.
