As part of BAM's 2015 Winter/Spring Season, MMDG will perform 2 programs over 5 days.

Program A (April 22 & 24) showcases music by the preeminent 20th-century American composer Lou Harrison: Pacific— originally created for the San Francisco Ballet and now making its Dance Group premiere in New York—and Grand Duo. Rounding out the program is Words, set to Felix Mendelssohn’s Songs Without Words, and the world premiere of a new work, Whelm, to music by Debussy. Music will be performed live by the MMDG Music Ensemble.

In Program B (April 23, 25 & 26) the company presents the New York premiere of Spring, Spring, Spring, a rendition of The Rite of Spring, based on an arrangement of Stravinsky’s classic score by acclaimed jazz trio The Bad Plus, who, along with the MMDG Music Ensemble, performs live. The evening opens with Crosswalk, Morris’ take on a clarinet and piano work by Carl Maria von Weber, and Jenn and Spencer, a duet set to Henry Cowell’s Suite for Violin and Piano from 1925.
